Hello,
my name is Dean Snyder and I am one of the co-owners of SnyderHealth.com.
My wife, Laurette, is the other half, my better half, of this new family
business. I want to welcome you to our web site, and thank you for taking
the time to review the information we have spent years putting together.
Building this web site has given us an education that will last us a
lifetime - a lifetime of new understandings and new distinctions when
it comes to our health.

First off, I would like to announce the birth of our third child, a
son named Bryton Alexander Snyder. This announcement is a tad
late since he is already 15 months old at the time of writing this.
I thought I would introduce him all the same, along with his older brother
and sister:

Now
a little more about the Snyder Family...
|
|
|
|
|
| We are the
Snyder family from New York City - husband, wife, and 3 children. |
We're not Dr.
Robert O. Young, Shelley Redford Young, or the Innerlight Foundation.
Those guys are here. |
| We are a family,
just like you, in search of a better life for our children and ourselves.
We are always learning. |
We're not alone. You
may have information that we don't know yet, and would welcome. |
| We are a well-read
educated bunch with years of experience helping folks learn the
truth about nutrition. |
We're not medical
doctors, nutritionists, homeopaths, naturopaths, allopaths, psychiatrists,
or your mom. |
| We are a small
family business with your best interests in mind. We want
you to succeed in changing yourself. |
We're not a
large unscrupulous corporation whose financial gains are more important
than the lives involved. |
| We are a family
who listens to your health concerns and addresses them with care,
understanding, and patience. |
We're not your
sounding board for which you can complain, blame, criticize, or
bitch-and-moan. |
| We are a christian
family with christian values. We respect and value ALL religions.
We are all in this together. |
We're not those
crazy religious fanatics who preach right from wrong, and we are
not going to try and "recruit" you. |
| We are always
striving to be better, to eat better, and to live better. |
We're not different
from or better than you. Our kids mean the world to us, as
yours does to you. |
| We are a vegetarian
based family - Laurette and Dean cheat once in a blue moon, but
the kids are 100% vegetarian. |
We're not a
sugar craving, soda swilling, meat stuffing, partially hydrogenated
family - although we used to be. |
| We are family
who eats a large variety of nutritious foods. |
We're not tofu
gorging maniacs who live in a big tofu house. |
| We are a home-schooling
family. |
We're not allowing
the government to tell our children what they should know, how they
should know it, or what size condom best fits a 6 year old boy. |
| We are educated
about vaccinations and how they impact our health. |
We're not the
type of people to unquestioningly allow a guy in a white lab coat
to inject our most precious children with formaldehyde, viral fragments,
antifreeze, mercury, DNA and RNA fragments, and other immune-system
killing chemicals - although we did in the beginning. |
| We are educated
about the role of nutrition in the health paradigm and how it relates
to disease. |
We're not going
to blame our genetics, our doctors, our parents, our teachers, or
our government for any self inflicted diseases we may bring onto
ourselves. |
| We believe
in the healing power of water. We understand that chronic
dehydration is all too common, and the cause of many of our ailments. |
We're not going
to allow you to tell us that drinking eight 8 oz. glasses of water
per day is sufficient. My kids drink that much water, and
they weigh 30 lbs. |
| We try to live
by Hippocrates' statement, "Let food be our medicine." |
We're not "pill-poppers",
nor can you make us believe that pharmaceuticals cure ANYTHING.
We understand there is a time and place for drugs - although the
time is rare, and the place is barely on the map. |
| We do believe
that nutrition and good mental health can cure ANY disease. |
We're not going
to submit to the notion that there are "incurable" diseases
- although we understand that physical side-effects from disease,
or from pharmaceutical overuse, may be permanent. |
| We are selling
products in our shop that we either use, or have used, and believe
may be beneficial to you as they were to us. |
We're not going
to sell you anything that we wouldn't give our children, nor do
we sell products that contradict the idea of alkalizing the body,
such as water distillers and reverse osmosis systems. |
| We believe
that it is our duty to share what we know with others that may benefit
from it. This is an obligation we welcome. |
We're not going
to make you pay to learn that dairy is bad, that vegetables are
good, and that water is essential. That is the role of the
nutritionists. |

We
want to share with you, each in our own words, how we came to live this
new healthier lifestyle, what it has done for each of us, and show you
that we are just as human, and subject to the same human frailties,
as most of you out there. We too went searching for answers when
we both became sick and tired of feeling 'sick and tired'. Finding
the pH Miracle Program has been a turning point in our lives, in our
health, and in our future.
Here are
our stories:
Dean
Snyder
My
full name is Dean Scott Snyder, born in Brooklyn, New York in 1967.
After graduating Sheepshead Bay High School in 1985, I attended the
University Of Buffalo for two years, where, being young and foolish,
I accomplished much of nothing. In an attempt to find myself I
joined the Army in November of 1988 and became an Electronic Warfare
Signals Intelligence Analyst and Russian translator. I spent two
years learning my new job. Immediately after my training I was
transported to Saudi Arabia to fight in the Persian Gulf War. It
was there that I had an epiphany. I suddenly had this overwhelming
desire to go back to school for radio broadcasting. So, once I
was released from the Army, back to school I went. This time I
took my education seriously. I received a degree in Broadcasting
Technology And Management and felt for the first time that I was going
to make something of myself. My life took a slight turn when I
got myself a job at a video rental company that rented video equipment
to the film business. Which leads me to where I am today.
I am the owner of my own video rental company called Moviedom, Corp.
and work as a video technician - helping to make music videos, commercials,
and other media. I have, quite proudly, positioned myself as a major
player in the New York film production world. One thing the Army
taught me was to 'be the best that you can be." - a old advertising
phrase that still guides me today.
I met my
wife Laurette in January 1993 with the help of a personal ad that I
had placed in a local newspaper. We dated for 9 years before we
finally got married and had two beautiful children back to back - a
girl, Juliette, and a boy, Darrien. Wham bam, I'm a family man!
What does
this have to do with this web site, the pH Miracle program, or health?
I am getting to that...really.
When
I first joined the Army I found out that I had high cholesterol.
Not surprising since my entire family has a genetic tendency towards
high cholesterol, heart disease, and cancer. But, being young
I felt that needn't worry about such matters. I was working out
everyday and fancied myself as a subject of health and fitness.
Little did I know that my health was deteriorating at a slow and steady
pace. Since leaving the Army I got regular checkups at the local
VA hospital. I continued to work out in my local gym, and still
ignored the unusually high cholesterol counts that kept popping up during
routine blood tests. "I'm still young, I don't have to worry
about such matters," is what I kept telling myself. I was
also diagnosed years ago with G.E.R.D. (gastro-esophogeal reflux disorder)
and was given prescription medication to alleviate the unbearable pain
in my chest (I always had heartburn, but it had reached a new level
of pain about 4 years ago). In February of this year (2003), at the
age of 35, I had blood work done for my routine physical. This
time, my cholesterol count had reached the dangerous level of 302.
No longer could I ignore the problem - I wasn't "young" any
more. My doctor warned me of the impending seriousness of my condition.
I finally woke up to reality. This is how I came upon Dr. Young's
program, and how we changed our lives forever. Allow me to clarify.
In early
March 2003, I was surfing the internet when I came upon a reference
to Dr. Young and his book, The pH Miracle. I read a quick description
of what his program was all about and decided to buy the book - best
thing I had ever done. For the first time in my life I learned
a comprehensible reason WHY I had high cholesterol (instead of being
told by doctors which pill I should take to lower it). I did notice,
however, that their was a line of supplements associated with Dr. Young
and immediately became skeptical. Then, my better judgment gave
me a "shake" and told me that I had nothing to lose - except
maybe a few bucks out of pocket. So, I put Dr. Young's program to practice.
I
ordered only the SuperGreens and Prime pH from Innerlight. The
first week I was taking the supplements as suggested. That week
I also gorged myself with every food that I loved (pizza, macaroni &
cheese w/hot dogs, a hero that would make Dagwood blush, a family size
meatball calzone, etc.) in order to say farewell to those foods - a
sort of mental positioning. The second week I went on a cleanse.
Seven straight days of only my SuperGreens & Prime pH, my daily
vitamins, and vegetable broth. I was a little nervous at first
since I had never done anything like this before. I must tell
you that I felt GREAT that week, only dealing with small hunger pangs
throughout the week (which didn't bother me all that much). After the
cleanse, I followed a strict 100% alkaline diet for about 6 weeks.
Now, it just so happened that I had a routine blood test scheduled during
the third week. Four days later, the results were in - my cholesterol
had dropped 91 points!! After uttering a quick, "Holy Crap!"
I began to look for any other possible changes in my health. Wouldn't
you know it? I had forgotten to take my G.E.R.D. medication for
the past several days and realized that I didn't have even one episode
of heartburn. So, I tried not taking the medication the next day,
and the next, and the next. I have not taken another pill since
and I have not had one ounce of heartburn - EVER! This was incredible!
How could I have been dealing with this pain for so long when the answer
was so simple? Another thing I noticed is that I wasn't getting
my usual headaches (some of them migraine). What? No headaches,
how can this be? I have not had one headache since I started this
program. I also noticed that common aches and pains associated
with aging (like when I would kneel down to play with my children) had
diminished. My overall energy had boosted greatly and I no longer needed
to take my daily nap (of course, on days I was off from work). I must
say, this is the best I have felt since my army days.
I
had to share what I learned with EVERYONE! Family, friends, relatives,
store clerks, strangers, pets, trees.... it was almost like a religious
experience. It is nearly impossible to explain to you, unless
you have been through the same "awakening", how amazing it
is to feel this new found level of energy and vitality. To know
how it feels to no longer take pills to calm the inferno that was in
my esophagus every minute of every hour of every day. To know
that I have probably saved myself from my families "curse"
of heart disease and disorder. To lose the excess baggage that
was starting to accumulate from years of self neglect (I have lost 27
pounds and settled at my ideal weight of 184 lbs). To know that
my kids will get to be with their daddy for
many years to come. This is the nature of my exuberance, the fire
that fuels my conviction, and the prophecy I am forever sworn to share
with all.
This is
why this web site exists. This is the reason I have spent five
straight months building this site, estranging myself from my family,
and neglecting my poor wife - as I sit here pounding my keyboard telling
you my story. Sure, I won't lie to you, this site is also an
attempt to make a few bucks. But, if you think that is the MAIN
reason, you need to take a look around this site. You will not
find a site of this magnitude anywhere on the internet, so
dedicated to the works of Dr. Robert Young and his program for restoring
health.
It is with
great honor, privilege, and humility, that I bring to you... SnyderHealth.com
Laurette
Snyder
Greetings!
Thank you for taking the time to read the following story about my experience
of improving my health. I hope, after reading this, that you too will
be inspired to improve your health, and your life, as well.
My
name is Laurette Lynn Snyder and my husband Dean and I own Snyderhealth.com.
I guess you can say that we decided to launch Snyderhealth.com based
on a recent personal revelation in our lives. We are now in the process
of changing our health, and our lives, for the better and we decided
to share this revelation with our friends, family and beyond. I would
like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about myself and my
personal history with health.
I
was born Laurette Lynn Laezza on August 29th 1973 to a loving family
in the very heart of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, in New York City. I lived
in Bensonhurst until I was 16 years old. I attended a private Catholic
School until 8th grade then attended New Utrecht High School until the
end of 10th grade when my family moved to Staten Island. I graduated
from Tottenville High School in Staten Island. Shortly thereafter, I
studied Business Administration at Katherine Gibbs School in NYC. It
was during this time, at the age of 19, that I met my would-be husband.
I later studied Communication Sciences at the College of Staten Island.
After some time trying to “find myself” I found my career
niche in Business Management and worked for a few years as an operations
manager for Gateway Computers Inc. My career there, was cut short by
more important personal events. After
almost 10 years of dating, Dean and I became proud parents of Juliette
Rose Snyder on August 28th, 2001. We were then married by May of 2002
and our son Darrien Nicholas was born on October 22nd, 2002. After nearly
a decade of dating, we became parents of two and married within one
year’s time. That’s
when the issue of my health really became…well… an issue.
I’d
been overweight all my life. Having grown up where you could find a
Pizzeria every other block and a bagel store/deli in between, food was
a big part of my life and culture. My family and friends celebrated
with food. In fact, there were times when I could remember family and
friends complaining that they didn't enjoy a party simply because there
was not an ample selection of food. That made perfect sense at the time.
We used food to show love and the more plentiful the buffet the greater
the love. We cooked for each other to show love and dined on each other's
meals to show appreciation for that love. As
a result I ate very well all my life, but for all the love I had all
around me I often found that I didn't love myself so very much.
When the lasagna was finished, and the chocolate cake was gone, I stood
before my mirror image and I was never satisfied with what I saw. Many,
many times, I actually cried - wishing I could be more fit and have
a more attractive body. Yet it never occurred to me to wonder whether
the 30 minutes I spent eating the roast beef that night was worth what
I was feeling as I faced myself in the mirror. Well, recently, it did
occur to me, and the answer is NO.
Why
after all those years, the sudden revelation?
A
great deal of it had to do with my kids. They’re good kids, they’re
beautiful kids, and I love them so very much and so very deeply. That
in mind, I began to realize that they deserve parents who will be there
for them. They should have healthy parents who can keep up with them
well into their adulthood. We have a responsibility as their parents
to lead by example. Their health and well-being is very important to
us and we did everything we could since the day they were both born
to see to it that they were eating right and maintaining good health.
We did everything but one very crucial thing - we weren’t
leading by example.
In
the meantime, my husband suffered from G.E.R.D. and dangerously high
cholesterol. I, myself, didn’t experience any life threatening
health problems - but they were certain to arrive as I was nearly 80
lbs over weight. I wasn’t trim and fit to begin with, and after
back-to-back pregnancies, I was … well… tempting fate –
so to speak. After
several months of discussions about his cholesterol Dean finally decided
that something had to be done. He began taking medication and we did
research into cholesterol and health. I was “dieting", like
I had numerous times in the past, and half expected to yo-yo, like I
had for most of my life.
In
March of this year (2003) we found what would change our life for the
better and improve the lives of our children and their future. We found
the science behind balancing your body’s pH levels and how that
level affects your overall health and wellness. We learned quite a great
deal as we became increasingly interested. We studied the affects of
foods on your pH level and how certain foods contain elements that help
your body maintain its pH levels - and how others are not only detrimental,
but even fatal. We studied, we put what we learned to the test, and
we saw results.
Today,
I write to you on July 21st 2003 - about 4 months later. I am
over 30 lbs lighter and have better muscle tone. My skin is has a healthier
glow. And, for the first time in my life, I am beginning to feel proud
when I see myself in the mirror. What’s more, I no longer suffer
from endometriosis - which was a painful menstrual condition that I
suffered through every month since I was 15. (This condition still existed
after having been pregnant two times in a row.) Today, that condition
is gone. I also suffered from severe sinus headaches, these are much
milder and much less frequent now. I
can’t tell you how much Dr. Young's pH Miracle Program has improved
our lives. What we’ve learned through our research has improved
the quality of our lives and greatly improved our chances for longevity.
Furthermore, I feel confident that my kids will have a far greater chance
of having healthy happy parents well into their adulthood, and on through
their lives. As a result of having healthy parents, my kids, too, will
most likely grow to be healthy happy adults… and so the legacy
will continue.
Now,
I realize that still some of you will read this and say, “geeze
she’s gone all quirky hasn’t she?” To that I say,
“Whatever - make fun if you must - but, I’m the one feelin’
pretty dam good when I wake up every morning. How do you feel?”
Some
of you will say the opposite. Some of you will think “Hmmm. I’d
like to improve the quality of my health and my life, also” and
to you I say, “Congratulations, you’re half way there.”
In
either case, I wish you all the very best, and I thank you for this
opportunity to share my story with you!
Sincerely
yours,
|
